Committees
Vine Neighborhood Association has several active committees working together as a team to meet a common goal. Housing/Southern Gateway Committee focuses on housing concerns and neighborhood beautification. Recent projects include Vine in Bloom, Fall into the Streets, and daffodil bulb plantings. If you have a housing concern the Housing/Southern Gateway Committee is a good place to speak with fellow residents on how to find a resolution to the concern. The Housing/Southern Gateway Committee meets at the VINE office on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 5:30 P.M.
Neighborhood Watch was established in October 1977. Neighborhood Watch strives to educate residents on crime prevention and how to report possible criminal activity. It is an open meeting and new members are always welcomed. Neighborhood Watch meets the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30 PM at the VINE office.
In addition, there is a Marketing/Membership Committee at the Vine Neighborhood Association. The committee works on plans on how to recruit new members and also to promote the historic Vine Neighborhood. Recent accomplishments include the banners on South Westnedge Avenue, the new logo and outreach to college students.
