Housing Committee

Vine Neighborhood Association has a housing committee that meets every month on the fourth Tuesday at 5:30p.m.  The meetings are held at the VINE Office located at 511 W. Vine Street.   Members of the committee include residents, landlords, VINE staff members, and City of Kalamazoo Housing Inspectors.   The meetings often discuss local ordinance, nuisance properties, and methods on improving Vine Neighborhood including beautification and clean up efforts.  A recent beautification event was Vine in Bloom.  During the spring of 2004 over 50 households in Vine Neighborhood received free perennials. 

Housing Committee sponsored events include neighborhood clean-up days, Vine in Bloom and the maintenance of the Crosstown Pond gardens and gazebo.
